INTERNET
CACHE ISSUES
(Clearing your Temporary Internet Files folder)
The
following instructions are the same for the two issues listed
below:
1.
I get to the
end of a scene and the Next button will not appear.
2.
My progress
is not saving.
Internet Explorer 6
First, you will start-up Microsoft Internet Explorer. Then you will locate
the menu bar across the upper left side of the browser, as
shown below.
You will then click on Tools. This will then open
a menu underneath Tools. You will click on Internet
Options.
The Internet Options window will now appear. In the
center of this open window is a section called Temporary
Internet files. You will click on Delete Files,
located in this section.
Clicking on Delete Files will open the Delete Files
window.
In this window, you will click on the check box next to Delete
all offline content. Then click on the OK button
to close this window.
Now click on OK
at the bottom of this screen to close the Internet Options
window.
Lastly, restart Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer 7
First, you will start-up the Microsoft Internet Explorer. Then
you will locate the menu bar across the upper right side of
the browser, as shown below.

You will then click on Tools (from either the top menu, or
right-side menu, as shown above). This
will then open a menu underneath Tools. You
will click on Internet
Options.
The Internet Options window will now appear. In the
center of this open window is a section called Browsing
history. You will click on Delete, located
in this section.
Clicking on Delete will open the Delete Browsing History
window. In this window, you will click Delete files
next to Temporary Internet Files.
A
new window will open up, as seen below.
Click
on Yes. The computer will then clean out the Temporary
Internet Files folder. As the computer is cleaning out the
folder, you might see a progress bar, indicating the computer’s
progress, or nothing, indicating that the files were cleaned.
Once the mouse pointer is an arrow, click on Close
at the bottom of the window.
Now click on OK
at the bottom of this screen to close the Internet Options
window.
Lastly, restart Internet Explorer.

From
the dialog that appears, please ensure that only “Temporary
Internet Files” is selected before continuing,
then click the “Delete” button.
A status bar will appear showing the progress of the cache
being cleared. Once this disappears, click on OK at the bottom of this screen to close the Internet
Options window.
Lastly, restart Internet Explorer.
